Job summary

ameriCARE Marin is seeking a compassionate caregiver for an ongoing client assignment in San Rafael, CA. You will provide one-on-one support in the client's home, helping him stay safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, about 20 hours per week. Prior home care or CNA/HHA experience is a plus; reliable transportation to San Rafael is preferred to ensure consistent coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one companionship and conversation.

• Perform light housekeeping related to the client’s care.
• Observe and report changes to the ameriCARE care team.

ameriCARE Marin is looking for a compassionate, dependable caregiver for an ongoing client assignment in San Rafael, CA.

This is a great opportunity for a caregiver looking for a consistent weekday schedule with the same client each week.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday
9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Approximately 20 hours per week

About the Role

You will provide one-on-one support to a client in his home, helping him remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible.

Responsibilities may include:

• Companionship and conversation
• Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Mobility and safety support
• Personal care assistance as needed
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping related to the client's care
• Observing and reporting changes or concerns to the ameriCARE care team
• Providing respectful, dependable, and consistent care

What We're Looking For

The ideal caregiver is:

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable providing one-on-one care in a client's home
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and ADLs
• Able to safely assist with mobility as needed
• Professional and able to communicate well with the care team
• Looking for a consistent Monday–Friday assignment

Professional caregiving experience is preferred. Experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, memory care, CNA/HHA work, or similar settings is a plus.

Reliable transportation to and from San Rafael is strongly preferred.
