Job summary

Seniors Helping Seniors Ozarks provides in-home companionship and homemaker support to seniors in the Springfield area. Caregivers, who are seniors themselves, deliver compassionate assistance in the client’s home, performing light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and transportation as needed.

Personal care duties include dressing, mobility support, and toileting, with a focus on independence and safety. A flexible schedule and meaningful relationships with clients and families are valued

Responsibilities

• Provide Companionship and Homemaker Duties as described.
• Perform light housekeeping, shopping, errands, meal prep and medication reminders.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as dressing, mobility, toileting and showering.
• Arrive on time for all services and maintain documentation of services.
• Record and report changes in the client’s condition to staff and communicate regularly with the office.

Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services of Ozarks (SHS) brightens the lives of seniors who can benefit from a helping hand and a friendly smile. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves, make life a little easier by providing compassionate care in the comfort of our care receiver’s home.

SHS empowers seniors to continue living independently by caring for day-to-day tasks that become more challenging as seniors age.

Companionship and Homemaker Duties may include:

• Provide Companionship

• Assist with Light Housekeeping such as laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc…

• Shopping and Errands

• Meal Preparation

• Medication Reminders

• Pet Care

• Light Yard Work

• Light Handyman Services

• Overnight Supervision

• Incidental Transportation to doctor’s appointments, family, or their favorite restaurant

Personal Care Duties may include:

• Assist with Dressing

• Assist with Feeding

• Assist with Showering / Bathing

• Mobility Assistance

• Assist with Toileting / Incontinence

• Memory Care

Other Responsibilities:

• Arrive on Time for all Services

• Caregivers may be contacted by management outside of standard office hours when coverage is needed for open shifts.
• Maintain documentation of all services provided

• Record and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance to our office staff

• Communicate regularly and proactively with our office staff

• Participate in relevant in-service opportunities and other informational meeting when possible

• Clock in and out using our care management system
