Job summary

A local home care provider in Sacramento is looking for compassionate Caregivers to enhance seniors’ lives through one-on-one services. Responsibilities include companionship, light cooking, assistance with personal care, and transportation for appointments. Ideal candidates should have a CNA or HHA license, or relevant caregiving experience. This role offers flexibility and support for caregivers.

Qualifications

• CNA or HHA license preferred or 6 months experience in caregiving.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to seniors.
• Assist with light cooking and cleaning.
• Help with bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Transport clients for appointments and errands.

You work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of non-medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Companionship
• Light cooking and cleaning
• Bathing, grooming and toileting
• Assistance with ambulation and medication reminders
• Transportation for appointments and errands

QUALIFICATIONS

• CNA or HHA license preferred or 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part-time work caring for geriatric or chronically ill persons
• Exceptional communication skills
• Reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Proof of current TB testing
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position
• Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable
• Pass a criminal background check (national and required by the state)
