Job summary

REM West Virginia, part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. As a caregiver, you’ll build meaningful relationships, support daily living activities, and help participants grow and live well.

We offer competitive pay with on-demand options, full benefits including a 401(k) match, and daytime or overnight shifts. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required to join our mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services or direct care preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for job duties.
• Ability to cook, clean and assist with personal care tasks.
• Patient, compassionate and reliable demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and nutrition.
• Support participants in community activities and learning goals.
• Monitor safety and report changes to supervisors promptly.
• Document care provided in the participant's plan.

$14.75 hourly with On Demand Pay Options

Full Time Day Position, Driver’s License with Vehicle, GED/Diploma

What You’ll bring to Sevita as a Caregiver at REM West Virginia:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Cooking, cleaning, assisting with personal care, such as eating, dressing, bathing and toileting and the ability to stay calm and problem solve in stressful situations
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions
