Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Cooking, cleaning, personal care (eating, dressing, bathing, toileting) and ability to stay calm and solve problems in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Help participants grow, learn, and live well; build meaningful relationships.
• Assist with budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition goals.
• Provide personal care support and assist with activities of daily living.
• Encourage participant engagement in community activities and outings.

What You’ll bring to Sevita as a Caregiver at REM West Virginia

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.

Skills: Cooking, cleaning, assisting with personal care, such as eating, dressing, bathing and toileting and the ability to stay calm and problem solve in stressful situations

Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible

Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions
