ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our team in Orinda, CA. This in-home role supports clients to live independently with dignity, providing personalized care and companionship in the comfort of their own homes.

Ideal candidates have caregiving experience and a patient, reliable demeanor. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are expected to meet client needs, with opportunities for career growth and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving, HHA or PCA preferred.
• Genuine compassion and patience when caring for clients.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, grooming and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and families.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe home environment.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and ambulation to prevent falls and aid safety.
• Monitor changes in health or behavior and report to supervisors.
• Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medication reminders.

Requirements

• Previous caregiving, home health aide (HHA), or personal care aide (PCA) experience preferred
• Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a dependable, professional demeanor
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
