Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is seeking a Caregiver for REM West Virginia to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings. You will assist with daily living activities and personal care while helping participants engage in meaningful routines and activities.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least six months in human services or direct care, a calm and reliable demeanor, and a valid driver’s license with access to

• Ability to stay calm, patient, and reliable in stressful situations.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with insurance.

What You’ll bring to Sevita as a Caregiver at REM West Virginia

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.

Skills:

• Cooking, cleaning, assisting with personal care, such as eating, dressing, bathing and toileting and the ability to stay calm and problem solve in stressful situations

Behaviors:

• Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible

Vehicle:

• Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions
