Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, seeks caring individuals to join our West Virginia team as caregivers. You will support participants with daily living activities, personal care, and community participation, helping them live well and grow.

Pay is $14.75 per hour with on-demand pay options and a full benefits package for full-time staff. We offer day and evening shifts (Fri–Sun and Mon) with driver’s license required in some positions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal care such as eating, dressing, bathing and toileting.
• Support participants with developmental goals including budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition.
• Build meaningful relationships and provide care in group homes or waiver settings.
• Help participants participate in community activities and stay engaged.
• Respond calmly to challenging behaviors and support safe daily routines.

What You’ll bring to Sevita as a Caregiver at REM West Virginia:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
Skills: Cooking, cleaning, assisting with personal care, such as eating, dressing, bathing and toileting and the ability to stay calm and problem solve in stressful situations
Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions
