Job summary

Home Instead, Inc. in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a compassionate caregiver for part-time in-home care. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7:30 AM to 5 PM, approx. 30 hours per week.

You will provide companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and transportation as needed to help seniors stay safe at home. Responsibilities include medication reminders and assisting with daily personal care. Applicants should pass background checks and have a valid driver's license and auto

Qualifications

• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
• Ability to work with clients receiving Hospice care or at end of life.
• Be a good and patient listener in a friendly and polite manner.
• Complete Background Check, DMV check and drug screen.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, social security card and valid auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Companionship and conversation.
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Incidental transportation to and from appointments, errands and activities.
• Medication assistance and/or reminders.
• Alzheimer’s Care, assist with personal care (bathing, toileting, transfers, etc.)
