Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring across Connecticut to provide compassionate, non‑medical home care to seniors and clients in need. Flexible shifts, including weekday, weekend, overnights, and live-in options, are available to fit your schedule.

You’ll follow each client’s Plan of Care, assist with daily tasks, transport to appointments, and provide companionship and emotional support. Benefits include paid time off, medical and dental coverage, a 401(k), referral bonuses, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a caregiver (HHA/CNA/PCA) is a plus.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence—offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
