Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Central Oregon is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support seniors in Scio, OR and surrounding areas. You will provide essential personal care and daily living assistance, ensuring safety and comfort in the home with a focus on individual attention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and CPR certification required.
• At least 6 months of caregiver experience.
• Valid driver’s license with auto insurance.
• Reliable transportation and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and compassionate nature.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support for seniors living at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship).
• Assist with mobility, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Give medication reminders, document conditions, notify supervisor of concerns.
• Create a safe home environment and participate in joyful activities with clients.

As a Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Caregivers:

• High school diploma
• Six (6) months of experience as a Caregiver
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
