Job summary

Senior Helpers of Southeast Nebraska is hiring caregivers to provide compassionate, non-medical in-home support across all shifts. Base pay starts at $16 per hour, with opportunities for performance-based increases and ongoing training.

Responsibilities include companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and assisting with daily personal care while reporting changes to the care team. A reliable vehicle and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required (we train the right people).
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to treat clients with dignity, patience, and respect.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level.
• Punctual, dependable, and committed to high-quality care.

• Building meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship.
• Participating in clients’ favorite activities and hobbies.
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping.
• Assisting with walking, dressing, bathing, and daily personal care.
• Observing and reporting changes in clients’ physical condition, mood, or behavior.
• Documenting care provided and communicating updates with the care team.
