Job summary

Senior Helpers of Southeast Nebraska is hiring caregivers to provide high-quality non-medical in-home care. We value compassion, reliability, and a respectful, supportive team environment where you help clients live safely at home.

Base pay starts at $16 per hour with opportunities for growth and ongoing training. We offer a team culture that recognizes hard work and supports work-life balance whenever possible.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required (we train the right people).
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Ability to treat clients with dignity, patience and respect.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship.
• Assist clients with activities and hobbies they enjoy.
• Prepare meals and light housekeeping assistance.
• Support daily personal care such as walking, dressing, bathing.
• Observe and report changes in clients' condition, mood, or behavior.
• Document care provided and communicate updates with the care team.

What a Caregiver Does

• Building meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship

• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping

Caregiver Qualifications
