What You'll Do
As a Caregiver, you'll provide hands-on support that helps our residents live safely, comfortably, and with dignity every day.
Responsibilities include:
- Follow each resident's Individualized Service Plan (ISP) and provide personalized care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
- Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing supervisor.
- Document daily care, observations, and resident status throughout each shift.
- Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and other information as assigned and permitted by state regulations.
- Assist with restorative care techniques, including proper positioning, ADL support, and passive range of motion exercises.
- Provide encouragement, redirection, cues, and emotional support to residents as needed.
- Encourage and assist residents in participating in activities and community events.
- Safely assist with transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Escort residents throughout the community and accompany them to appointments when needed.
- Respond promptly to resident call systems and emergency requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support resident care and the community.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a State-approved Nursing Assistant Training Program if required by state regulations.
- CNA certification preferred but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certification if required.
- A compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting residents with mobility and transfers.
