Job summary

Consumer Direct Care Network in Wisconsin is seeking a compassionate Direct Care Worker to support an adult client with Autism in his home and community.

This part-time position offers 10-15 hours per week on Thursdays or Tuesdays and Sundays, with pay between $16.32 and $18 per hour, based on experience. Training and ongoing support provided.

Qualifications

• Must have background experience working with adults with Autism.
• Background check required before hire.
• Reliable, kind and patient caregivers preferred.

This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We need a caregiver with experience working with adult clients with Autism. One who is calm and collected, helping a lovely nonverbal man by taking him out in the community and to church.

Responsibilities:

• Stand by Assist for balance
• Assisting with wiping and pull-up changes
• Companion while taking him out shopping, to church, and to his mother's house
• Reliably communicate with the adult home supervisor and guardian

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation for taking out client
• Background check before hire
• MUST have background experience working with adults with Autism
• Preference for caregivers who are kind, patient, and have exceptional reliability

Compensation:

$16.32-$18 based on experience
