Home Instead in Dubuque, Iowa is seeking dependable Care Professionals to support a client who values conversation and staying safely at home.

This role involves hands-on transfer assistance, meal prep, transportation, light housekeeping, and meaningful companionship, with a focus on recognizing the person beyond tasks.

Pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, with an extra $1.00 per hour on weekends. Schedules cover 7 days per week with morning and afternoon/evening shifts.

Home Instead is looking for dependable, experienced Care Professionals to support a client in Dubuque, Iowa who thrives on good conversation and wants to remain safely at home.

This is an opportunity for a Care Pro who enjoys building a relationship with one client while providing hands‑on transfer assistance, meal preparation, transportation, household support, and meaningful companionship.We're looking for someone who understands that great home care means noticing the person—not just the tasks.

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00/hr

$1.00/hr extra for Weekend Hours

Schedule:

Care is needed 7 days a week

Morning 10 am to 1 pm

Afternoon/Evening - 4 pm to 8 pm

Candidates may be considered for individual recurring shifts or a consistent combination of shifts based on availability and client fit.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experienced and confident providing hands‑on transfer assistance
• Safety‑minded and comfortable adjusting support as a client's mobility changes
• A good cook who can prepare fresh meals
• Comfortable following a soft-food, dairy-free diet
• Willing to encourage fluids and good nutrition
• Comfortable assisting with grocery shopping, errands willing to provide transportation when required
• Comfortable with light housekeeping
• Observant and willing to communicate changes in mobility, function, mood, or other care needs promptly
• Dependable and able to commit consistently to accepted shifts
• Comfortable providing meaningful companionship—not simply completing a task list
