Job summary

Christian Care / Fellowship Square in Cottonwood, AZ seeks a kindhearted Certified Caregiver/Med Tech to support Assisted Living residents, including medication administration, companionship, and daily activities. High School Diploma required; Arizona Caregiver certification, CPR and First Aid, Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, and TB test must be current.

Drug test and background check required. This is a full-time day shift with a $500 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Document care provided and report changes in resident's condition.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Perform welfare checks on residents.
• Document and report care provided and resident observations.
• Provide physical assistance, laundry & bedding, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain medical records.

Job description

Day shifts available with a $500 Sign On Bonus for Full-Time!

We are seeking a kindhearted, energetic Certified Caregiver/Med Tech for our Cottonwood, AZ location who has a genuine desire to help seniors and is committed to meeting their day-to-day needs while helping to preserve their dignity and quality of life. This is a level 1 and level 2 care community.

The purpose of this position is to provide a broad range of support services to our Assisted Living residents, including but not limited to, administering medications to the residents in a safe, accurate, and timely manner based on medical chart records.

• Document the care provided and report any changes in the resident's condition.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Perform welfare checks on residents.
• Document and report care provided and resident observations.
• Provide physical assistance, laundry & bedding assistance, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Administer prescribed medications to assisted living residents and maintain medical records.
• Order and complete medication records.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Coachable and the willingness and ability to learn.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy.
• The ability to deliver compassionate care to elderly patients.
• Prior caregiving and medication administration experience a plus.

Certificates required

• Certification as an Arizona Caregiver is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• A valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• A current negative TB test is required. If necessary, we can administer the test free of charge.

Schedule Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 6 am to 6 pm.
