Job summary

Right at Home in Colton, SD is seeking caregivers to provide high-quality care and companionship to clients in a home setting. You will assist with daily activities, medication reminders, and light housekeeping to help maintain comfort and client well-being.

Please note that some clients may have pets or smoke, so comfort with this is required. Flexible shifts cover mornings, evenings, and weekends to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of caregiving experience or relevant certifications (CNA, HHA, HCA, PCA preferred but not required).
• Background: Ability to pass a criminal background check and a physical ability to lift, bend and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Companionship: Engage in conversations and activities that bring joy to your client’s day.
• Support: Provide stand-by assistance with transfers and mobility, which may include lifting or supporting clients weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Medication Reminders: Help clients adhere to their medication schedules.
• Errands & Housekeeping: Assist with running errands, light housekeeping, and maintaining a clean living space.
• Physical Assistance: Aid with daily living activities, including transfers, bathing, dressing, and other personal care tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $17 - $20 per hour, based on experience

• Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
