Right at Home Southeast South Dakota is looking for a Caregiver to provide high-quality care and companionship to clients in Bruce, SD. The role involves assisting with daily activities, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Your support is vital for helping clients maintain a comfortable life.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably 1 year of caregiving experience. Must also be comfortable with clients that may smoke or have pets. Flexible shifts available.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $17 - $20 per hour, based on experience

Duties & Responsibilities

• Companionship: Engage in conversations and activities that bring joy to your client’s day.
• Support: Provide stand‑by assistance with transfers and mobility, which may include lifting or supporting clients weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Medication Reminders: Help clients adhere to their medication schedules.
• Errands & Housekeeping: Assist with running errands, light housekeeping, and maintaining a clean, comfortable living space.
• Physical Assistance: Aid clients with daily living activities, which may involve lifting, bending, and reaching to assist with transfers, bathing, dressing, and other personal care tasks.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of caregiving experience or relevant certifications (CNA, HHA, HCA, PCA preferred but not required).
• Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.
• Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
