Job summary

Senior Helpers Lake Minnetonka Region is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in Mound, Excelsior, Victoria, Chaska, Chanhassen, Wayzata and surrounding areas.

As a caregiver you will engage clients in daily activities, prepare meals, assist with mobility, and report on well‑being; flexible hours and competitive pay from $18 to $22 per hour are offered.

We provide training, support from a caring team, and a Great Place to Work culture.

Qualifications

• You are compassionate and enjoy helping others
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Desire to help the community and make a difference in someone’s life
• Has a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to pass an MVR check
• Experience caring for seniors in any setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage clients in conversations to build relationships
• Participate in clients’ hobbies and daily activities
• Prepare meals for clients to enjoy
• Assist with walking, dressing, and daily living activities
• Report activities and client condition updates to supervisors

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.)
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior

Caregiver Qualifications:

• You are passionate about helping others
• You enjoy customer service and communicating with clients
• You want to help your community and make a difference in someone’s life
• Has a Valid Drivers License, reliable personal transportation and willing to subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check
• Has experience caring for seniors- in either a family or professional setting.
