Job summary

Right at Home Charleston is seeking compassionate caregivers to help seniors stay independent at home. You will provide reliable in‑home care and companionship in a supportive, family‑oriented environment.

Starting pay is $15.00 per hour with flexible scheduling, up to 40 hours per week, and PTO accrual. Full training, ongoing support, and opportunities for career advancement are offered, with benefits eligibility after one year of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities.
• Offer medication reminders.
• Prepare meals and assist with basic nutrition.
• Perform light household tasks such as laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping, and tidying.
• Help clients with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Follow each client’s individualized care plan.
• Observe and document changes in client's condition and communicate concerns to the nursing team.
• Maintain open communication with clients, family, supervisors, and other caregivers.
• Accurately completing timesheets and documenting services provided.

What We're Looking For

• No previous caregiving experience or certifications are required-we provide initial and ongoing training to help you succeed
