Job summary

BrightStar Care of Central DuPage is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in their homes. You will provide personal care, assist with daily activities, and help maintain mobility as outlined in the care plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of documented caregiver experience.
• CPR certification and up-to-date TB test.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services as needed to meet client needs.
• Assist with daily tasks (meal prep, light housekeeping, mobility, transportation).
• Document changes and report to the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s or patient’s needs
• Providing assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
• Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one (1) year of documented caregiver, home care assistance experience is required
• Certified CPR with hands-on training, negative TB test, and a work physical within the year.
• Driver's License & reliable transportation with auto insurance
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Assistance varies depending on the client's mobility.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
