Job summary

BrightStar Care of Central DuPage is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in a home setting with dedicated RN oversight. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meal preparation, and safe transportation to appointments while maintaining patient dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of documented caregiver/home care experience.
• CPR certification with hands-on training, TB test and a current work physical.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services to meet the client’s needs.
• Assist with daily tasks including meal prep, mobility, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.
• Document changes and report to the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s or patient’s needs
• Providing assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
• Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one (1) year of documented caregiver, home care assistance experience is required
• Certified CPR with hands-on training, negative TB test, and a work physical within the year.
• Driver's License & reliable transportation with auto insurance
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Assistance varies depending on the client’s mobility.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
