Job summary

Always Family HomeCare seeks a compassionate Caregiver to provide companion care for an elderly lady in Arlington. You will work 8-hour shifts in the client’s home, assisting with incontinence care, light housekeeping, and meal prep, with a Hoyer lift for transfers and standby walking support.

CNA license preferred. Benefits include starting at $18/hour with a raise to $20/hour after 3 months, time and a half for major holidays, and referral bonuses for caregivers and clients.

Qualifications

• One year of documented experience as a Caregiver (HHA/PCA certificate or current CNA license).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Current Driver's License.
• Current TB test.
• Immunizations to include COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
• Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
• Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Education

One year caregiver experience

CNA license preferred

She needs assistance with incontinence care, light housekeeping and meal preparation. She will have a Hoyer lift to assist with transfers and will require standby assistance while walking.
