Bizzell is seeking a Career Transition Services Specialist at the Guthrie Job Corps Center in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The role involves developing job leads, meeting with employers, establishing linkages, organizing job fairs, researching employment trends, and assisting in meal preparation and sanitation.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Conduct outreach activities with agencies, organizations, and individuals to refer candidates.
2. Interview interested candidates and gather pertinent information.
3. Prepare documentation and review with the center as needed.
4. Maintain monthly goals and ensure contractual compliance.
5. Arrange pre-employment orientations and tours.
6. Develop policies for student recruitment and build networks for potential students.
7. Introduce labor market information and participate in employability programs.
8. Support and enforce policies, promote standards, and maintain accountability.
9. Assist with graduation exercises and property control.
10. Comply with all relevant guidelines, policies, and safety practices.
11. Model professional behavior and participate in staff training.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
13. Communicate effectively and organize work efficiently.
14. Demonstrate professionalism and leadership, motivating students and providing coaching.

Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic computer literacy and strong communication skills.
• Motivational and organizational skills.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or associate’s degree with two years of related experience.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, talk, listen, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Vision capabilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
