Job summary

Serrato Corporation in McKinney, TX is seeking a Placement Specialist to provide transitional, placement and follow-up services to former enrollees and graduates, in alignment with government directives.

You will serve as the main contact, initiate referrals, coordinate interviews with employers and One-Stop centers, document activities in the case management system, and generate placement reports.

A Bachelor's or Associate degree with two years related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel.
• Computer Literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
• High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
• High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and counsel students effectively.

Responsibilities

• Be the principal point of contact for graduates and former enrollees during transition, placement and follow-up as appropriate.
• Initiate transitional support referrals to off-center placement specialists and other community agencies.
• Contact employers and one-stop centers to arrange for interviews and other activities to promote initial placement.
• Make regular contact with former students during the placement and follow-up period; document in the automated case management system.
• Verify, document and report placements meeting PRH requirements using the automated system and ETA-678.
• Maintain regular contact with career development specialists and career technical training instructors on center.
• Work closely with department staff to gather information and maintain open communication with workforce development centers throughout the state (in which the center is operating).
• Produce and distribute placement and follow-up reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
