Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in vocational trade preferred.
• Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state where the center is located or has acceptable trade organization accreditation.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
• A valid driver's license in the employment state with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive classroom atmosphere to maximize student motivation.
• Maintains discipline to ensure maximum learning.
• Functions as SME for the Career Technical Training field.
• Presents lessons using multimodal approaches to accommodate learning styles.
• Establishes strong student/instructor rapport.
• Prepares classroom material and maintains lesson plans.
• Aligns curriculum with industry standards and TAR.
• Records daily attendance and assists with required forms.
• Ensures safety and cleanliness of classrooms and shops.
• Develops industry partnerships for internships and job placements.
