Job description

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Job description:

Our mission is to provide quality, value-driven training that equips students with the skills and competencies they need for entry-level positions in their chosen fields, to connect our graduates with employment opportunities, and to foster an environment of teamwork, personal growth, and respect for every individual on our campus.

We serve a student body that reflects the communities we're part of: first-generation college students, working adults, career changers, and recent high school graduates. What ties them together is a shared goal building a real career in less time than a traditional degree takes.

We're proud of our job placement rates and even prouder of what our students tell us. In graduate and student satisfaction surveys, the message is consistent: our team genuinely cares, and students feel it. That culture isn't an accident — it's the product of staff who see admissions, instruction, and student support as connected parts of the same mission.

The Career Services Advisor is responsible for leading the career services department, ensuring that students and alumni receive comprehensive support in their career planning, job search, and professional development. The role involves building relationships with employers, guiding students and graduates through their career journeys, and managing a team dedicated to providing career-related services. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills.

Career Services Advisor assists students and alumni with providing career counseling, organizing workshops, coordinating with employers for job opportunities, and offering support with resume writing, interview preparation, and networking. The ideal candidate is student-focused, organized, and has a passion for helping individuals achieve their professional goals.

Key Responsibilities (reports to the Campus Director):

  • Execute and Implement Career Services Programs : Execute career services programs that help students and alumni with career exploration, resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies.

  • Workshops and Events: Organize career fairs, workshops, networking events, and other professional development opportunities for students and alumni.

  • Data Tracking, Management, and Reporting: Monitor and report on student and graduate employment outcomes, trends, and the effectiveness of career services programs. Use data to inform decision-making and improve services.

  • Student Outreach : Promote career services programs to students and alumni, encouraging participation in events, workshops, and one-on-one counseling sessions.

  • Resource Development : Create and update career-related materials, including guides, handouts, and online resources to support student career development.

  • Collaboration : Work with faculty, academic advisors, registrars, and other departments to integrate career services into the overall student experience.
