The State of Oklahoma seeks a Career Coordinator in Ponca City, OK to deliver employment services and vocational counseling. • 5 years of experience in employment services, career or vocational guidance and counseling, personnel, recruitment, training, customer services or social services related work.
• 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for 3 years of required work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, Teams).

Responsabilidades

• Manage and promote career assessment and vocational counseling via applicant interview and qualification evaluation to determine needs for employment, job skills, placement, training, and referrals.
• Utilize EmployOklahoma for registering customers for employment, unemployment services and additional education and training services.
• Establish unemployment insurance benefit claims and interpret related laws for claimants and employers.
• Communicate with management, employers, applicants, claimants and coworkers regarding job orders, referrals and unemployment benefits; prepare reports.
• Provide career counseling, job placement and employment services in compliance with applicable laws and regulations with priority for veterans and special-needs applicants.
• Maintain excellent customer service and keep the office environment conducive to a positive client experience.
• Assist with UI eligibility, UI claims filing, and UI training in a professional manner under a case management system.
• Assist with receptionist duties and participate in team meetings and required staff training.
• Use office machinery safely and be present on-site as an essential function.
