Job summary

San Joaquin Valley College Inc. seeks a Career Services professional to support students and graduates in obtaining employment under the supervision of our leadership team. The role coordinates employment, externship tracking, and career services skill development across students, alumni, and employers.

You will conduct employer outreach, assist with resume and interview coaching, and help manage documentation, events, and campus initiatives to improve employment start outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years of job development, career services, or agency recruiting experience.
• Degrees from U.S. institutions must be accredited; non-U.S. degrees require equivalence.
• Ability to read, write, and present information to individuals and groups.
• Commitment to compliance and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct employer and job development activities such as employer calls and site visits.
• Meet and exceed activity goals to achieve employment start outcomes.
• Maintain relationships with students and graduates to connect with employers.
• Attend business functions, trade shows, and professional organizations for networking.
• Coordinate externship tracking and supervise externship processes.
• Provide resume, interview, and job-search coaching.
• Lead career skill workshops on topics like resume and professionalism.
