Job summary

The Staten Island JCC is seeking a Career Services Case Manager to support the CRED program within the Career Services department, focusing on community workforce initiatives and engagement. You will work to help participants access resources, navigate benefits, and stay engaged in training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting social service needs of the CRED target population (18-40, involved with community issues).
• Case management experience with city systems such as public assistance, housing, and education.
• Strong communication skills and cultural competence.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree as required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Devise and administer service needs assessment, identifying supportive services for each participant.
• Collaborate with Mental Health Professional and referral agencies as needed.
• Provide case management and encourage participant engagement and retention.
• Leverage knowledge of benefits and entitlements to help participants obtain resources to complete training.
• Connect participants to JCC departments and external agencies for tools and resources to complete training.
• Identify and address barriers to program completion with participants.
• Track progress toward goals with participants.
• Escalate cases to program mental health professional when needed.
• Work with the broader CRED team to provide holistic participant support.
• All other tasks as directed by supervisor.
