Job summary

The College of Health Care Professions is seeking a Career Services Advisor to guide students and graduates toward employment in their field of study. You will support externships, build relationships with healthcare employers, and assist with placement tracking and compliance.

Travel to various Texas campuses will be required to support programs, participate in orientation, staff meetings, and community events.

  • Support CHCP marketing and Career Services coordination across campus.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Career Services Advisor helps students and graduates develop the skills needed to secure employment in their field of study. This role provides career guidance, supports externship and job placement opportunities, builds employer relationships, and assists with placement tracking and compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide students and graduates with career guidance, resume assistance, interview preparation, and job search support.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining externship and employment opportunities with employers and community partners.
  • Monitor student progress during externships and support successful employment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate student and graduate records, placement documentation, surveys, and reports.
  • Conduct graduate and employer surveys and track placement and employment data.
  • Assist with marketing CHCP programs and promoting Career Services within the medical community.
  • Collaborate with the Education Department and other campus departments to support student and graduate success.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with CHCP, state, federal, TWC, Department of Education, and accreditation requirements.
  • Participate in student orientation, staff meetings, professional development, and community events.
  • Build positive relationships with students, employers, and community partners.
  • Represent CHCP professionally with employers and within the community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Career Services and/or Campus President.
  • Travel approximately 20%–40%, primarily within Texas.
