Overview
The Career Services Advisor position is a pivotal role within the organization, dedicated to empowering students and graduates to successfully launch or advance their careers in the healthcare sector. This role bridges the gap between academic achievement and professional success by providing comprehensive career services and fostering strategic relationships with potential employers. The Career Services Advisor will ensure that students and graduates are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and confidence necessary to secure employment in their chosen field of study.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing tailored career guidance to students and graduates, ensuring alignment with their healthcare career aspirations
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve employment placement goals for graduates
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare employers to create opportunities for graduate placement
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, including state, federal, and accrediting body requirements
- Contributing to the organizational mission by acting as a positive representative of CHCP within the community
- Empower students and graduates to secure employment in their field of study and initiate their healthcare careers
- Manage a population of graduates, providing personalized assistance in job placement within the Allied Healthcare field
- Offer guidance on interview techniques, workplace expectations, resume development, and other job search best practices
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve employment placement goals for students and graduates
- Consistently meet or exceed departmental performance metrics, including talk time, interviews, hires, and monthly graduate placement goals
- Support Directors in advertising, recruiting externship and placement sites, marketing to the medical community, and monitoring student progress during externships
- Act as a positive representative of CHCP within the community, fostering relationships and promoting career services
- Participate in staff meetings and student orientation sessions to ensure alignment with organizational objectives
- Ensure strict compliance with all state, federal, and accrediting rules and regulations
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students throughout their educational journey to promote career services offerings
- Associate degree or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-powered, dynamic, and results-driven environment
- Prior experience in employment staffing, career services, outplacement services, or sales
