Job summary

Public Consulting Group is seeking an in-person Instructor to deliver direct instruction to students in communication, life skills, and pre-employment areas. The role focuses on identifying student strengths, setting goals, and guiding skill development within work experiences and class sessions.

The position emphasizes teaching employability skills, portfolio creation, attendance tracking, and coordinating with consultants. This role is onsite, with summer opportunities depending on districts.

Qualifications

• Assess learning strengths and areas of development and interests of the student.
• Develop goals and outcomes with student input and assessment results.
• Instruct students on employability skills such as communication, technology, problem solving, teamwork, resume writing, and interview skills.
• Assist student in building a portfolio with certificates of skills and internship letters.
• Maintain files and monitor attendance at class and work site.
• Provide transportation training and guide on public/private transit access.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning strengths and development areas and align with student goals.
• Develop goals/outcomes with input from the student and assessments.
• Instruct employability skills including communication, technology, teamwork, resume writing, interview skills.
• Assist student with portfolio development and internship letters.
• Monitor attendance and progress in class and work-site experiences.
