Job summary

Public Consulting Group in Lowell, Indiana is seeking an in-person Instructor to work with students on communication, life skills and pre-employment skills. You will assess learning strengths, set goals with student input, and deliver instruction to help students gain competitive, marketable skills during work experiences.

You will assist students in developing portfolios, tracking attendance, and teaching on transportation and professional behavior.

Qualifications

• Instructors deliver direct instruction on employability skills to students.
• Assess student learning strengths and develop goals with student input.
• Provide coaching on communication, technology, problem solving and professional skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess the learning strengths and development areas of the student.
• Develop goals and outcomes with input from the student.
• Instruct on employability skills such as communication, technology, teamwork, resume writing, interview skills, and job search.
• Assist student in building a portfolio with certificates and recommendations.
• Monitor attendance and progress in class and work sites.
• Provide transportation guidance and coordinate with consultants as needed.
