Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Secondary certification required.
• Minimum of five (5) years teaching experience; three (3) at the high school level.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Power point.
• Strong oratory skills.
• Strong writing skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess individual academic and career plans.
• Teach the skills necessary for decision making and career planning.
• Teach for mastery of thirty-seven job related competencies developed by Jobs for America's Graduates in cooperation with the private sector (Jobs for America's Graduates curriculum).
• Teach core basic skills.
• Access social/support services.
• Identify jobs/careers for graduates by developing a job bank.
• Act as advisor to career association activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Coordinator of Vocational Programs and the Executive Director of Special Programs.
