Job summary

Porter and Chester Institute in Worcester, MA seeks a Career Program Specialist (Admissions Representative) to be the first contact for prospective students, guiding them through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.

You will speak with applicants by phone, in person, and virtually about career goals, provide student-focused guidance, conduct campus tours, document interactions, and collaborate with Financial Aid and Academic teams to support students toward meaningful career

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years of sales or customer service experience.
Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
Comfort working with goals, follow-ups, and deadlines.
Ability to use common software programs (MS Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

Speak with prospective students by phone, in person, and virtually about career goals and educational options.
Guide applicants through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.
Build trust through consultative, student-focused conversations — not high-pressure tactics.
Conduct campus tours and information sessions.
Accurately document student interactions and progress in our systems.
Collaborate with Financial Aid, Academic, and Student Services teams.
Participate in paid training and ongoing professional development
