Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated Career Counselor to guide participants through skill assessments, barriers, and goal setting, helping them pursue unsubsidized employment paths.

The role includes creating and updating Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) twice a year and proactively coordinating job development with local employers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, education, social sciences, or related field.
• 3 years of relevant client- or public-facing professional experience.
• 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of social service resources in the assigned territory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide career counseling to participants, assessing their skills, barriers, interests, and goals to determine viable paths to unsubsidized employment.
• Develop, review, and update an Individual Employment Plan (IEP) with participants twice yearly.
• Conduct job development and business outreach to secure unsubsidized openings aligned with IEPs.
• Document counseling, IEP updates, training progress, and job placement efforts in the CRM system for compliance.
• Develop outreach plans to recruit diverse participant sources and meet enrollment goals.
• Lead daily office operations and manage administrative functions by delegating to staff participants.

• Develop, review, and update an Individual Employment Plan (IEP) with participants twice yearly.
• Conduct job development and business outreach activities proactively to secure unsubsidized job openings that align with participant IEPs.
• Ensure all counseling sessions, IEP updates, training progress, and job placement efforts are thoroughly and accurately documented in the CRM system to maintain program compliance.
• Develop and execute outreach plans to identify and recruit diverse participant sources, ensuring enrollment goals are consistently met.
• Lead daily office operations and manage all administrative functions by delegating appropriate responsibilities to staff participants.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, education, social sciences, or a related field required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant client- or public-facing professional experience required, with at least one (1) year of supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite in a professional setting.
• Knowledge of key social service and employment resources within the assigned territory is preferred.
