Job summary

Tessera seeks a Career Advisor to support employees across Washington state and nationwide in pursuing education, training, and career advancement. The role involves coaching, resume prep, interview training, and helping employees access tuition assistance.

Travel up to 6 weeks per year to educate on services, build external partnerships, and expand employment pipelines. A passion for mission-driven work and strong relationship-building is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Higher Education, Organizational Development or related field required.
• Minimum of one year experience in providing employee career development or equivalent lived experience as a person with a disability required.
• Must obtain Career Advisor Certification within 18 months of employment, if not already held.
• Valid state driver's license required with ability to obtain and maintain Tessera insurance coverage.
• Access to a federal military installation requires REAL ID-compliant driver's license or acceptable alternative.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized career guidance, advising, and coaching to employees to identify career plans and trajectories.
• Advise, mentor, and support employees through the Employee Career Plan process; insert ECPS into Workday and track progress.
• Schedule meetings and input ECPS or case-notes about interactions in Workday.
• Assist employees with Tuition Assistance (TA) processes and required documentation.
• Help employees write resumes, prepare for interviews, and create/update LinkedIn profiles.
• Facilitate WOWI assessments to help identify strengths and career options.
