Job summary

Team Rubicon is seeking a Career Navigator, Workforce Development to join our Programs x Workforce Development team. The in-office role is based at the Team Rubicon Workforce Development Academy in New Orleans, LA and collaborates with community partners and employers in skilled trades to support participants’ advancement.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in workforce development, or related human services field.
• Proven record of client-centered experience such as case management, employment support, training, and/or coordination of care.
• Proficient with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members as well as external stakeholders.

• Maintain timely documentation of all participant engagement demonstrating both frequent and impactful participant support.

Job description

Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking a Career Navigator, Workforce Development to join our Programs x Workforce Development team! The Career Navigator, Workforce Development will collaboratively and cooperatively work within their team and on cross-functional teams. This will require working with competing priorities and keeping multiple stakeholders appraised of decisions. This Career Navigator, Workforce Development will foster relationships with community partners, skills training partners and employers in the skilled trades. The Career Navigator, Workforce Development will also serve as the liaison between Team Rubicon and participants enrolled in workforce development programming.

Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities. This position reports to TR’sProgram Manager, Workforce Development and is based out of our Team Rubicon Workforce Development Academy in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Duties:

• Supports workforce development initiatives aimed to enhance the skills, employability, and career progression of participants.

Experience and Background:

• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in workforce development, or related human services field
• Proven record of client-centered experience such as case management, employment support, training, and/or coordination of care
• Proficient with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members as well as external stakeholders
• Successful past performance in providing person-centered care

Special Requirements:

• This is full-time; IN-OFFICE/ONSITE position and is based out of our Team Rubicon Workforce Development Academy in New Orleans, Louisiana
• Occasional evening and weekend schedule supporting leadership meetings, video conferences, special events, and operations may be requested
• Local Travel: Reliable transportation is required. The person filling this position will be expected to travel within their local area to support ongoing recruitment and partnership efforts
• Other Travel: At least 10% non-local travel to support broader organizational activities focused within the assigned territory

Job Type:

Pay Range:

• $48,447.98 - $63,587.97 per year

The hiring range reflects where in the range we most likely intend to hire for this role. Additionally, compensation within that range can vary for several reasons including market conditions, cost of living, skills/capabilities, experience, etc.
