Job summary

WORK Inc. in Rhode Island is seeking an Employment Specialist to support parents participating in Rhode Island Works programs in Pawtucket, RI. This full-time, day-shift role requires a 4-year degree and paying $25.00 per hour, with travel up to 25%.

You’ll work one-on-one with job seekers to build confidence, develop career plans, connect them to training opportunities, and secure meaningful employment. You’ll collaborate with local businesses to promote inclusive hiring and help individuals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in human services, workforce development, or case management (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).
• Bilingual (preferred).
• Strong communication, organization, and case management skills.
• Passion for helping others achieve independence and success.
• Ability to build relationships with clients, businesses, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with career planning, resume development, job searches, and employment goal setting
• Provide one-on-one job readiness training focused on confidence building, workplace skills, and interview preparation
• Work collaboratively with a team to support the organization’s mission
• Help clients identify and overcome barriers to employment
• Maintain communication with clients and DHS ECA’s
• Maintain accurate case notes and client documentation using Salesforce
• Connect individuals to community resources, training, and educational opportunities
• Provide ongoing support to help clients succeed and retain employment
