Job summary

The Fedcap Group is seeking a Career Advisor for the Augusta site to support program participants facing barriers to employment and wellbeing. You will guide participants from referral through job placement, acting as mentor and troubleshooter and coordinating with team members.

Responsibilities include creating career plans, building relationships, identifying needed services, preparing resumes and letters, and timely administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred OR high school diploma/GED plus equivalent experience.
• Minimum of one year of experience in career services, case management, workforce development, or social services OR related fields.
• High level of cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed approaches; understanding of equality in workforce development.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other technology systems to manage caseload and performance needs.
• Valid US Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of participants, orienting them to the program and developing Career Plans with goals and action steps.
• Building trusting relationships and providing individualized services to participants.
• Identifying support services and coordinating referrals with internal and external partners.
• Developing quality resumes, cover letters, and other employment materials.
• Providing excellent service throughout participants' journey with a non-judgmental approach.
• Completing administrative tasks: referrals, scheduling, calls, and documenting interactions.
