Signal Centers is seeking a dedicated and compassionateCareer Navigator to support parents participatingin the Family Forward program. This position advances economic mobility through individualized career planning, workforce coaching, employer engagement, and employment pathway development for adults who are unemployed, underemployed, or seeking career advancement. This is a part-time, grant-funded position.
Impact of the Position
The Career Navigator will bridge family stability with economic opportunity by helping adults access higher-wage employment, career advancement opportunities, and long-term financial independence.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree inHuman Services, Social Work, Counseling, Education, Workforce Development, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in workforce development, employment services, case management, career coaching, or a related human-services environment.
- Strong communication, coaching, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to establish positive and professional relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
- Ability to effectively engage employers, community organizations, educational institutions, and workforce partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage participant documentation, deadlines, follow-up activities, and program data.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct career assessments and develop individualized career plans.
- Provide career coaching, job readiness training, resume assistance, and interview preparation; individually and in groups.
- Connect participants to education, credentialing, apprenticeship, and workforce development opportunities.
- Build relationships with employers, workforce partners, and the community to recruit new clients and community partners.
- Coordinate supportive services that reduce employment barriers.
- Support parents reentering the workforce following incarceration or child welfare involvement.
- Track participant outcomes and maintain accurate documentation, data entry, and reports.
