Job summary

JEVS Human Services in Collingswood, NJ seeks a Career Navigator to help youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities transition into integrated, competitive employment.

You will coordinate the Discovery process, connect participants with internships and jobs, train employers on supports, and provide coaching and solution-focused assistance to ensure smooth transitions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate entire arc of Discovery process for assigned participants
• On-board participants into internships
• Train participants on technical aspects of expectations
• Train employers regarding support needs of individuals; provide ongoing technical assistance to employers
• Participate in recruiting participants
• Engage with employers; educate employers and staff; facilitate resolution of participant’s challenges.
• Provide coaching, counseling and feedback when necessary; assists in identifying creative solutions to encourage smooth transitions
• Other duties as assigned

As the Career Navigator, you will assist in ensuring that youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities have a more fully informed choice and can successfully transition into integrated, competitive employment.
