Job summary

JEVS Human Services is seeking a Community Support role to help Independence Network members pursue goals and gain independence. This community-based position supports individuals in their homes and in the community in Camden, Burlington, and/or Gloucester counties.

You will build rapport, support plans, teach independent living skills, and mentor social engagement, helping members explore volunteer opportunities or paid work while participating in local activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop a rapport with assigned individuals and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
• Contribute to plans that support individuals to pursue their goals and dreams
• Teach independent living skills and develop strategies the individual can rely on to continue to grow in their independence
• Provide guidance and mentoring to support social skills
• Coach individuals to establish volunteer opportunities or paid employment
• Assist individuals to engage in community activities that match their interests

This opportunity is community based and can be located in Camden, Burlington, and/or Gloucester counties, based on your availability.

In this role, you will work to provide extra support and help to the members of the Independence Network community.

Job Overview:
