Job summary

Opportunity Village in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Entry Program Training Instructor to provide training and advocacy support for participants in the Entry Training Program.

You will work closely with the Job Development team to help participants achieve employment goals, including resume preparation, job searches, applications, and interview training, while building partnerships with community sites.

The role emphasizes connection, enthusiasm, productivity, stewardship, and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of work experience in a related field.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• CPI certification within 30 days of employment.
• CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment.
• ACRE Basic Employment Services certification within 90 days of employment.
• Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Preferred: Experience in Vocational Rehabilitation, Special Education, Customer Service, Business Management, or Public Relations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to participants in the Entry Training Program.
• Offer guidance, feedback, and insight on completing job tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Assist with résumé preparation, job searches, and completion of job applications.
• Conduct interview training and prep participants for employment.
• Network and maintain relationships with community sites and partners.
• Expand training areas and cultivate new opportunities for participants.
• Prepare documentation including quarterly reports, incident reports, and monthly training reports.
• Maintain daily attendance and participate in PCP meetings and related meetings.
