Job summary

RFCUNY is seeking a Spring Forward/Career Launch Program Manager for Queens College. This full-time, benefits-eligible role is on-site four days a week with one remote day, reporting to the Program Director within the Experiential Education team.

You will lead student recruitment, training, and employer partnerships for the Community & Social Services Hub, coordinate the student-employer matching, and ensure compliant, data-informed delivery across all program phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in administration of complicated fast-paced programs in workforce development, career services, student services, education, or community-based nonprofit organizations.
  • Incredibly strong administrative and critical thinking skills; ability to anticipate problems and research and implement solutions.
  • Outstanding verbal and interpersonal communication skills to work and interact effectively with a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated technology skills with standard tools (Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Automate, Zoom, Slack, Canva, databases, and program management software).
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented and outcomes-focused environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-changing work environment.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a growth mindset.
  • Flexibility to work some evening hours and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Program Management: manage execution of Spring Forward/Career Launch across all phases (recruitment, selection, onboarding, internship, closeout).
  • Partner Support: lead employer recruitment, vetting, selection, and student-matching; ensure onboarding and training completion.
  • Data Administration, Analysis, and Reporting: create surveys, analyze data, provide progress updates and reports.
  • Peer Mentor Support: identify and train past participants as peer mentors.
  • Student Support: address student issues, assist with recruitment, onboarding, and office hours.
  • Other: attend staff meetings and complete professional development.
