Job summary

The Missouri Department of Transportation in Princeton, MO is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform routine, entry‑level duties related to the maintenance of the state's roadways and facilities. Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
Valid Driver's License required.
Must pass CDL written exam before hire and CDL driving test with tanker endorsement (Class B, interstate status).
Must pass work simulation and medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

Maintains state highway systems, including filling joints and cracks, pothole patching, traffic flagging, and setting up traffic control devices.
Maintains and repairs state highway facilities, including signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, and equipment servicing.
Operates vehicles to transport staff and materials, plow snow, spread ice control materials, and perform landscaping tasks.
May repair bridge decks and drains, and perform elevated work on ladders or scaffolding.
May install and repair road signs and posts and perform sign footings and welding as needed.
