Job summary

State of Missouri, Southwest District, is seeking a Maintenance Worker for the Anderson Maintenance Facility. The role involves routine, entry-level duties maintaining state roadways and facilities under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Must pass the CDL exam (written) before hire, with tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, and interstate status within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems including filling roadway joints, patching potholes, flagging and directing traffic, and setting up traffic control devices.
• Maintain, clean, and repair highway facilities and signage; paint buildings and equipment; service equipment and machinery.
• Operate vehicles to transport employees and equipment, plow snow, spread ice control materials, and perform related tasks.
• Repair bridge decks and drains; work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• Install and inspect signs and posts, weld and repair sign structures as needed.
