Job summary

University of New England (UNE) seeks a Career Programming and Engagement Coordinator to oversee career programming, marketing, and the UNE CareerConnect platform. The role drives student engagement through strategic communications, social media, digital content, and event coordination, collaborating across the Office of Career Readiness and Workforce Development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, higher education administration, business administration, public relations, student affairs, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple priorities and timelines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external partners.
• Experience creating and managing digital communications, including social media, website content, and email marketing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and modern digital marketing tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies for career programming and services.
• Manage the Office of Career Readiness and Workforce Development’s digital presence (social media, website, newsletters, digital signage).
• Create multimedia content showcasing career readiness programs and employer partnerships.
• Coordinate promotion with UNE Marketing and Communications teams and maintain an annual communications calendar.
• Plan and execute career fairs, networking events, workshops, and panels; manage logistics and on-site operations.
• Coordinate platform onboarding, training resources, and documentation for UNE CareerConnect (PeopleGrove).
• Analyze engagement metrics and inform continuous improvement.
